SATAT
Scheme
Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation. Discover how this transformative Government of India initiative is turning agricultural waste into wealth and fueling the green economy.
What is the SATAT Scheme?
Launched in October 2018 by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) initiative is designed to establish an ecosystem for the production of Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) from various waste and biomass sources in India.
By inviting Expressions of Interest (EoI) from potential entrepreneurs to set up CBG plants, the government guarantees off-take of the gas by major Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) at assured prices. NX100 Pacific Biofuels fully aligns with this mission, promoting the use of sustainable bio-energy and reducing reliance on imported crude oil.
Learn How to ParticipateThe Four Pillars of SATAT
How this scheme benefits multiple sectors of the Indian economy.
Environmental Protection
Significantly reduces carbon emissions and prevents the harmful practice of agricultural stubble burning by utilizing crop residue.
Economic Growth
Generates direct employment in rural and semi-urban areas by establishing thousands of new CBG plants nationwide.
Farmer Empowerment
Provides farmers with an alternative revenue stream by monetizing agricultural waste and producing organic manure as a byproduct.
Energy Independence
Reduces India's heavy dependence on imported crude oil and natural gas, strengthening the nation's energy security.
